Fine in a wrinkled and partially torn good dust jacket, which is however mostly intact, and is housed in the original cardboard mailer, addressed by the publisher to an airman, Purvis Stokes, at the Naval Air Station at Corpus Christi. The mailer is well-worn, but sound. Novel by an African-American film pioneer who often wrote novels as material for the films he would later create. This title is very scarce in the first edition and in jacket, and we've never seen another example of the mailer.
