SI's editorial board reads like a Who's Who of North Shore surfing: Along with Phillips and Grannis there was designer and record album and poster illustrator John Van Hamersveld, Australian surfer and photographer Barbara Walton, Dr. Don James ("The Premier Photographer of Surfing") and surfing legend Lee Peterson.
