The Viking Press, October 1946 1946. VG+/VG-. Stated First Edition. 14 x 25 cm green cloth with a purple line and yellow titles to the front and spine. Top edge red, 308(2)pp with unclipped dust jacket priced at $2.50. The boards have been well protected by the dust jacket and are mainly clean and bright except for a little fading to the spine tips and just a touch of bruising to the bottom corners. Internally there is no name, inscription or bookplate and just a hint of uniform toning to the page edges. The dust jacket, which is now protected in a removable, clear cover (not shown), is a little chipped along the top and bottom edges with minor loss of up to 0.5 cm at the spine tips and of a couple of millimetres on the corners. There is a small split across the width of the spine in the middle. The top edge has two closed tears of 0.5cm and there is a similar one along the bottom edge of the front panel all with associated creasing and a small tide mark at the very top edge of the rear…
