Slightly sunstruck; fine in a lightly rubbed, laminated dust jacket with a touch of wear to edges and extremities; remnant of a phone number written on the rear panel.. 8vo, 467pp; peach cloth. Motley wrote this novel in Mexico as a sequel to his 1947 debut Knock on Any Door. Laid into this copy is a presentation card from Columbia Pictures Corporation with the facsimile signature of producer Charles Schnee who had produced the film adaptation of "Knock on Any Door" and was preparing an adaptation of this novel.

A terrific copy and coupled with the 1951 Appleton-Century Crofts FIRST edition of Motley's 2nd novel We Fished All Night. A gorgeous copy in F+/VG condition. The HB is superclean and tight. The DJ is not price clipped though the flyleaf has two small clips and is mylar wrapped. There is minor wear along the edges and corners with a small missing piece along the top spine end. Very collectible!
