Octavo. 310pp. Very slight abrasions on front board, else fine in near fine dust jacket with three very small and barely visible little snags, and a very short tear on the front panel. Inscribed by Marshall on the front fly in the year of publication: "To Elizabeth Fordham from Paule Marshall 1959." A very nice copy of the author's first novel.
