Brisley shows a man washing a girl's hair. Light Blue cloth cover with Black Lettering to spine. 835 Pages, 480g, 7 1/2" Tall. No inscriptions. Some spots of light foxing to title page, only s few occasional spots elsewher and those mainly marginal. Fine spots of browning on page edges. Jacket has a small piece missing at top of spine (just clipping the "OOL" of School. Some edge wear. 2 tiny bits missing at bottom corners of spine and on back corner. An excellent copy of this book which is difficult to find in Hardcover , more so with dustwrapper! The Dustjacket is price clipped and has a few minute nicks at the corners/spine (See scan) and is very slightly rumpled at the spine probably from (spine) being damp at some time. Back flap (blank) displays foxing.The leading edges of the jacket display no wear! The book is also in excellent condition with foxing to the endpapers and the edges of the first few leaves. The book is uninscribed and interior pages are clean. Brook's black & white plate present as required. Boards display some very light spotting suggesting storage in a moist environment at some time. A superior copy of a scarce 1st edition. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.

Stain to outer page edges; light foxing to endpapers. Wrapper has nicks; some marks.

Hardcover. 1st edition hbk in d/w; quite a difficult title to get as 1st in d/w; nice clean pale blue boards with tiny nick to top of spine; no handwriting inside such as names; we have downgraded the condition to G++ purely because of the browning to the pages - a common fault with this book; d/w not price clipped; (7s 6d) ; it does however have loss to top of spine, chippong to bottom of spine and a hole to the middle of spine! There are also ticks and crosses next to the title on the rear cover; see picture on our website or on abe website. G++/G; Chalet School; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .

B/w frontis plate. 203 pages. 7.5 x 5". Spine slightly bumped, light damp stains to cover edges and some faint mottling to covers. Vertical crease to edge of front free-endpaper. Contents are well browned but still clean. Dustwrapper is complete and slightly edge rubbed. Tears to wrapper edges have been tape repaired on verso.
